Grindstone Tap House

Grindstone tap house has been on my list of places to check out since I first moved to Berea two years ago. For one reason or another, we had never visited. Tonight, we finally changed that. My wife likes to eat very early so we arrived around 5pm or so. Got seated and settled in and the waitress came over and took our drink order and provided some menus. Having read some reviews a couple of years back, I was excited to try several things on the menu. Ultimately, I ordered a soft pretzel appetizer and the south of the border entree as my main dish. Pretzel came out quick, was served with a Cajun mustard and a jalapeno queso cheese dipping sauce. The mustard was extremely fascinating. Blend of several flavors that hit your taste buds one after the other. It paired very well with the pretzel. The queso was also quite good, had just a bit of a kick to it but not overwhelming so. Shortly after finishing up the pretzel, our meals arrived. The south of the border dish, just a mound of tater tots, eggs, cheese, chicken, sour cream was just a sight to behold. The tater tots were seasoned and by themselves were amazing. Combine them with the other parts of the dish and you have an extremely flavorful meal. I was very impressed by it and could barely put a dent in all of the tater tots. Disappointed we took this long to try it out but will absolutely be coming back to try their pizza (which I was told by a few folks that it is wonderful) and the chicken or steak Philly sub.

This place was incredible, the best part was the portions! Nachos were huge. Food came out super quick, was super high quality and the staff was very friendly.

Our server was great. We visited her after the auto show and was surprised to see a live band. We had our kids with us at 9pm and the children were welcome here. (11&8) They had a little space to dance. The prices were great and the portions were large. I think this is going to be a regular stop for us after visiting the IX center for it's various exhibitions.

Found this place on the internet, wanting somewhere we can eat outside. Had some onion rings and the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Loved it! Pizza crust was perfect. Onion rings just right. Server was friendly and helpful.

We just left Grindstone (Saturday night) and had such an excellent experience. The booths are uncomfortable at the bar but the service (bartender and server) were exceptional! The meatball app is fabulous. I had the buffalo chichen salad and my hubby had the fish sandwich, both were good. But our server was so fantastic, kind, and knowledgeable about the food too. We didn't really wait for anything, the staff was on top of it and they were so amazing. :)

Stopped in for a quick lunch and We were not disappointed. Try the new zesty jalapeno honey garlic sauce . Had it on the jumbo wings and it was “chefs kiss”.

I love coming here to dance. Thank you for the bands. The food is great. Service depends on server. Hailey and Lauren gosh I hope I got her name right do a great job.

EDIT: Finally got around to taking a photo or two of this amazing food. I always forget to get a picture here of the food or drinks. It's always a good time from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave. Highly recommend the Pizza, it's the only thing I ever order and a good reason for it to.. it is amazing.. I recommend checking this place out for sure!
